BREAKING: Magnitude-7.1 earthquake strikes off Alaskan coast

The 7.1-magnitude temblor hit at 1:30 a.m. AKST Sunday (5:30 a.m. EST), the USGS said. Its epicenter was located 53 miles west-southwest of Anchor Point, Alaska.
