Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Autauga, Chilton, Dallas, And Lowndes Counties

Heads up for everyone in the path of this severe storm. Winds of 60 MPH and quarter size hail can be expected. Now is the time to seek shelter. Even if it is not a tornado, severe straight line winds can do as much or more damage as a tornado.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Chilton County in Alabama…
Lowndes County in south central Alabama…
Autauga County in Alabama…
Eastern Dallas County in south central Alabama…

* Until 100 PM CST

* At 1156 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Parnell to Mulberry to near Tyler to 12 miles
south of Gordonville to 7 miles northwest of I65 And Al 106, moving
northeast at 60 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Prattville, Selma, Millbrook, Clanton, Valley Grande, Jemison, Fort
Deposit, Mosses, Hayneville, Selmont-West Selmont, Thorsby,
Deatsville, Autaugaville, White Hall, Maplesville, Gordonville,
Billingsley, Lowndesboro, Benton and Memorial Stadium.
