...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Thunderstorms are expected across central and southern Florida this
afternoon and evening, and tonight over parts of west-central
California.

...Florida...
A rather strong upper trough is tracking eastward across the
southeast states...pushing a cold front southward across the Florida
peninsula. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will affect central
and south Florida this afternoon until the front moves offshore.
While an isolated strong storm capable of gusty/damaging winds or
hail cannot be ruled out, the overall weakening wind fields and
limited convergence should preclude an organized severe risk.

...California...
Later today and tonight, an upper trough will begin to affect parts
of central California. Cold temperatures aloft may result in a few
thunderstorms...mainly after midnight.
