Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Elmore County

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
     Northwestern Elmore County in east central Alabama…

* Until 830 AM CST

* At 758 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
     was located over Wetumpka, moving northeast at 35 mph.
     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
     shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
     Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
     damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
     Wetumpka, Eclectic, Kowaliga Bridge, Dexter, Ten Cedar Estates,
     Santuck, Western Lake Martin, Blue Ridge, Jordan Lake, Central,
     Claud, Wallsboro and Jordan Dam.
