The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Shelby County in Alabama…

* Until 115 PM CDT

* At 1154 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Tannehill
Ironworks State Park, or 12 miles northwest of Montevallo, moving
northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Birmingham, Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Leeds, Chelsea,
Columbiana, Wilsonville, Indian Springs Village, Vincent,
Harpersville, Westover, Oak Mountain State Park, Vandiver, Maylene,
Oak Mountain Amphitheater, Greystone, Highland Lakes and
Riverchase.
