Areas affected...Central/South Central TX

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 177...

Valid 300157Z - 300300Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 177
continues.

SUMMARY...Isolated severe wind gusts/hail remain possible with
thunderstorms across WW177, and adjacent counties just south of the
watch, this evening.

DISCUSSION...Frontal convection has struggled to organize across
south central TX this evening. Much of the deepest convection is
located along the cool side of the boundary and remains rather weak,
though recent development across Wilson/Atascosa Counties appears to
be rooted near the surface along the immediate wind shift. Latest
MRMS data suggests large hail is occurring with the southern-most
thunderstorms over Atascosa County. 00z sounding from CRP exhibits
significant CINH and it appears this activity may be the southern
extent of meaningful thunderstorms tonight.
