URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 130 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1150 PM EDT Wed Apr 5 2017 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Eastern and south-central Georgia Southwest North Carolina Western and central South Carolina * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1150 PM until 700 AM EDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Mostly semi-linear storms should continue to increase, organize, and accelerate northeastward from parts of Georgia into South Carolina and southern North Carolina. Bouts of damaging winds, severe hail and possibly a tornado or two may occur overnight. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles north of Macon GA to 30 miles south of Charlotte NC.
