Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 130

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Eastern and south-central Georgia
  Southwest North Carolina
  Western and central South Carolina

* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1150
  PM until 700 AM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Mostly semi-linear storms should continue to increase,
organize, and accelerate northeastward from parts of Georgia into
South Carolina and southern North Carolina. Bouts of damaging winds,
severe hail and possibly a tornado or two may occur overnight.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles north of Macon
GA to 30 miles south of Charlotte NC. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to
2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A
