Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Franklin County Until 4:00PM

Very strong indications of a tornado north of Red Bay in Franklin County. Will pass near Pleasant Site and White Oak to the Cedar Creek Reservoir.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northwestern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 400 PM CDT

* At 327 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Belmont, or near Tishomingo State Park, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Franklin County, including the following locations:
Pleasant Site, Pogo, Dempsey, Halltown and Cedar Creek Reservoir.
