URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 187 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 655 PM EDT Mon May 1 2017 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Eastern and northern New York Extreme northeastern Pennsylvania Western Vermont * Effective this Monday night from 655 PM until Midnight EDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Well-developed squall line approaching central New York and central Pennsylvania will persist for the next few hours will moving quickly east-northeastward. Damaging gusts will continue to be a threat, prior to the convection weakening as it encounters a more stable environment near or just east of the eastern New York and Vermont border. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles east and west of a line from 70 miles north northwest of Glens Falls NY to 20 miles east southeast of Monticello NY.
