Flash Flood Warning Continues For Parts Of Dekalb And Jackson Counties Until 9:00AM

…THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 AM CDT FOR JACKSON AND NORTHEASTERN DEKALB COUNTIES… At 829 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen over the last three to four hours, with 18 hour totals in the three to six inch range. These very moist soil conditions and the heavy rainfall rates have created runoff issues. Localized flash flooding is already occurring. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Scottsboro, Bridgeport, Henagar, Stevenson, Hollywood, Skyline, Gurley, Woodville, Ider and Pisgah.

…THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR EASTERN MADISON COUNTY IS CANCELLED…     Heavy rainfall has come to an end and widespread flooding is no     longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed any     remaining road closures that may be in effect.
