...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT... At 221 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 17 miles northeast of Tehachapi, or 20 miles southeast of Lake Isabella. These storms were nearly stationary. Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms. Also, brief heavy rainfall and hail up one-half inch diameter is possible.
