URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 443 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 205 PM CDT Thu Aug 10 2017 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Portions of south-central Kansas Parts of western and central Oklahoma * Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 205 PM until 900 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms ongoing across parts of northwest Oklahoma and adjacent southern Kansas are forecast to increase in coverage and spread east-southeast across the watch area over the next several hours, with attendant risks for locally damaging winds and hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles either side of a line from 10 miles north northwest of Gage OK to 30 miles east of Chandler OK.
