URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 272 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1255 AM CDT Thu Jul 12 2018 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northeastern Minnesota Northwestern Wisconsin Lake Superior * Effective this Thursday morning from 1255 AM until 700 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...An organized complex of thunderstorms will pose primarily a damaging-wind hazard as it moves southeastward across the watch area. Activity should encounter substantially more stable air and become less-organized over northern WI and western Lake Superior. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles either side of a line from 50 miles north of Brainerd MN to 15 miles southeast of Kennedy WI.
