Monday Another cloudy and windy day with gales developing in the north and the west. Gusts of 65 mph to affect exposed western coasts. But a mild day with the winds from the south. A cloudy morning with a belt of rain in the south west to push northward during the day. The rain will be more persistent across Northern Ireland, Scotland and across north west England adding to the flooding problems but it does move away from England and Wales for the afternoon. Mild today with highs of 10 to 14 Celsius across.
Monday night It continues windy for the evening and the night. Another belt of moderate to heavy rain affects western parts of Britain this evening with eastern areas staying fine and dry. That rain in the west then reaches all but East Anglia and the far south east during the night. A mild night to come with lows of 9 to 11 Celsius.
Tuesday Another windy day ahead. Outbreaks of rain across East Anglia and the south east in the morning clears Scattered showers likely elsewhere in the morning then drier for the afternoon but more persistent rain into northern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Apart from rain across Northern Ireland, the night looks mainly dry and with clear spells, a colder night to come. Expect top temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.
Wednesday Strong gales may affect the northern half of Britain today with the potential for damaging gusts to 80 mph across the high ground of north west Wales, northern England and southern Scotland. An area of rain is forecast across Northern Ireland, Scotland and north west England for much of the day. Dry to the south with some morning sunshine then cloudy. In the evening and night that area of rain slowly drifts into northern England and Wales as it turns colder across Scotland. Expect top temperatures of 9 to 11 Celsius north to south.
