A front passes eastwards bringing more bursts of heavy rain. Drier weather arriving in England and eastern Wales as well as eastern Scotland in the afternoon. Turning cooler as the drier weather arrives. Some heavy showers in northern and western Scotland and well as Northern Ireland and northwest England, turning to snow on the hills. Highs at 8 to 12C.
Christmas Day 25/12/15 Cloud and rain in Ireland and the western UK on Christmas day as low pressure passes to the west of Ireland. Probably drier in the east. There could be an early wintry shower in northern Scotland, but overall it is going to be a mild day. Highs at 6 to 10C.
Boxing Day 26/12/15 Low pressure stays west of Ireland on Boxing Day. All areas will be mild. Rain may affect western parts of the UK and Ireland, but drier to the east and south, although with plenty of cloud. Tops at 7 to 12C.
Sunday 27/12/15 A weak front may pass east on Sunday bringing some rain. Western areas tending to stay cloudy and drizzly, although mild. Probably drier in the east and south although still a fair amount of cloud. Tops of 8 to 13C. Monday 28/12/15 High pressure to the east on Monday, low pressure to the west. Rain in the west through Monday, but generally drier to the east. Winds in the west with highs at 9 to 12C. Tuesday 29/12/15 Low pressure brings cloud and rain into Ireland and western Scotland, as well as western England and western Wales today. Drier in the east although with plenty of cloud here. Highs at 10 to 15C.
