European Summary: Unsettled and cold - Strong winds in Mediterranean, Feb 15 - 04:43

Rain & snow Today A cold day across Europe. A dry, sunny day to come across England. Snow showers will affect the Low Countries with outbreaks of moderate to locally heavy snow across eastern France, Germany and the Alps. Rain is expected across Poland and much of the Adriatic Region and the Balkans, but fine and dry across Greece into Turkey. A few showers are likely across northern parts of Italy with the south dry. Rain to affect Romania, The Ukraine and Belarus. Outbreaks of snow persist across Germany with a few rain, sleet and snow showers across Spain. Spells of snow are forecast for the Baltic States, northern parts of Russia and Finland. Sweden and Norway will remain bitterly cold but dry and sunny. Strong winds will persist across the Mediterranean, Iberia and up into the Black Sea.

Tuesday It continues cold across much of Europe but mild across Romania, Bulgaria and western Turkey with temperatures into the low 20s. Fine and dry with sunny skies across England, northern France, Belgium, Holland into Denmark. Very cold but sunny across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Some snow to fall across central France into southern Germany. Fine and sunny across northern Germany and northern Poland. Rain may affect the extreme south of Poland. An area of heavy snow is forecast across northern Russia into the Baltic States and Belarus. Heavy rain is expected across Croatia, A dry day to the south across Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Heavy rain and showers are expected across northern France with showers across the western Mediterranean. Most of Spain and Portugal will be fair and dry but cold. It remains quite windy across Biscay and the Mediterranean.
