Heavy snow in east Today A very unsettled weather pattern prevails across Europe today. A pleasantly mild day to come across Portugal and Spain with long sunny spells. This dry weather extends eastward across the Balearics, the south of France into Italy, The Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans. A cold, windy day to come across Turkey with outbreaks of rain and snow. Heavy, blustery showers will affect Cyprus. Outbreaks of rain are expected from Britain into northern France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Poland, The Ukraine, The Czech Republic and Hungary. Heavy snow is forecast for Finland, Russia, The Baltic States and Belarus. Snow showers will affect western parts of Norway, Cold but sunny across eastern Norway and Sweden. South westerly gales will affect the channel. Strong easterly winds prevail through the Straits of Gibraltar with cyclonic gales in the eastern Mediterranean.

Monday Northern parts of Europe will be staying very unsettled with the south fine and dry. Most of Spain and Portugal will have a dry, mostly sunny day. Rain clears southern England in the morning then dry. Outbreaks of rain are expected across northern France, The Low Countries across northern parts of Germany, much of Poland and the Ukraine. This will be locally heavy. An area of moderate to heavy snow is expected to fall across The Baltic States, Russia, Finland and northern Sweden. Dry across southern Sweden and eastern Norway while snow showers affect western Norway. Expect a few showers around the Balearics. Sunny and dry across Italy, The Adriatic Region, The Balkans and western Turkey. Further rain and snow mixed is expected across eastern Turkey.
