Morning Call: Sunny spells - Wind increases west, Mar 31 - 08:17

A fair day for most, good spells of sunshine Good morning, It's a cool start to the morning over much of the country, with a touch of frost in places. There will be some showers affecting southern Scotland, but for most this morning will be drier and brighter with some good spells of sunshine.

Further showers develop this afternoon, but most of them affecting high ground. For the vast majority the afternoon is going to be dry with the spells of sunshine continuing. Southeastern parts may well be cloudier to start with the threat of a few spots of rain and showers here.

Overnight skies will become clearer with a risk of frost. Thicker cloud and rain arrives in Ireland and western Scotland, that rain heavy at times.
