Windy at times this week Low pressure tends to dominate much of the week with fronts bringing in spells of rain and gusty winds. Late in the week high pressure builds in from the south and turns things more settled. Rather cold to start the week but becoming very mild later in the week. Wet and windy across Britain with heavy rain spells of rain for the evening and much of the night. Expect highs of 7 to 8C.
Wednesday 09/03/16 Outbreaks of rain becomes light and slowly clears from the west and it remains quite windy. Another batch of rain sweeps in across Britain overnight. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 9C.
Thursday 10/03/16 A windy, much milder day with gales across Scotland. Morning rain clears to a drier, sunnier afternoon. Showers to affect the north. Most places will be dry overnight. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 13C.
Friday 11/03/16 Staying very mild with a brisk west wind. Cloudy with rain across the north and the west. A damp, breezy night with light rain and drizzle for most. Expect maximum temperatures of 9 to 14C. Saturday 12/03/16 It will remain very mild and windy across the country. A rather grey, damp day with patchy rain and drizzle at times. Misty on the west facing hills. Expect maximum temperatures of 10 to 15C Sunday 13/03/16 A front may bring outbreaks of rain and drizzle to northern parts of Britain. The south will stay dry but with a good deal of cloud. It continues quite mild with maximum temperatures of 10 to 15C.
