Cold northern and central Europe, rain and showers in north too Tuesday A windy, unsettled day across northern parts of Europe and it remains rather cold across much of Europe. Fine and sunny across Portugal and Spain and warm across the south. Colder moving into France, The Low Countries and Germany with frequent, heavy showers, these falling as snow across southern Germany. Showers are also expected across western Poland with the east fair and dry. An area of heavy rain lies from Finland south across Russia, the Baltic States, the Ukraine into Romania. Showers are expected across parts of Turkey and northern Italy with snow across Austria. Dry and fine across much of the Adriatic Region and Hungary. Cold across Norway and Sweden with snow showers and sunny spells.
Wednesday A few outbreaks of rain and showers in northern Spain today as well as through Portugal. Dry and bright in the south. Sunny spells and some showers in the Balearics and Italy, heaviest in the north. Greece and Turkey will be dry with sunny spells and warm too. A cold day to come in France. Showers in the north but fine to the south. Cold and showery in the Low Countries with plenty of cloud here too. A raw day in Germany, more wind and some rain. The unsettled weather continues across Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. Low pressure brings more cloud and rain into Denmark, but the Baltic States should be dry with some sunshine. Sunny spells to for Finland. Showers affecting Sweden, a few of them heavy. Sunshine and showers too in Norway.
