Heavy bursts moving east Good morning, Most places will see rain at some point today, heaviest and most prolonged in the south & south-east by afternoon. The south-west should brighten up slowly, leaving scattered showers. Meanwhile, a cold front moving south across northern Britain brings outbreaks of rain, and snow for the Scottish Highlands, falling to increasingly low levels.
Areas of showers may merge into longer periods of rain for northern and eastern England into the afternoon and evening, which may turn widely to snow over the Pennines tonight. Blustery winds at times, especially near the south coast. Today's top temperatures will be 10 to 13C in southern regions, but feeling cold at just 6 to 8C in Scotland and northern England. Have a great day. Garry
