Tuesday Rain affects Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England this morning. The rain could be heavy at times and may well fall as snow over the highest hills of southern Scotland. An area of rain also across East Anglia and the east Midlands at first, only slowly clearing northwards. Staying damp across much of northern England and southern Scotland this afternoon. Drier in northern Scotland with some brighter spells here. For the rest of England and Wales it will be dry with sunny spells developing. However, showers are going to be developing, these rather scattered although they will be heavy. Highs near a muggy 13 to 17C in southern England, 9 to 12C in Scotland.
Tuesday Night Showers fading from England and Wales as well as Ireland overnight. This leaves conditions mostly dry with broken cloud and generally dry. Scotland and periods of rain in central and northern Scotland, these tending to turn lighter and more patchy as the night progresses. Rather murky in central and northern Scotland too. A touch of frost in the clearer skies to the south at 0 to 3C, but around 3 to 6C in Scotland.
Wednesday Lower pressure remains in control of conditions through Wednesday. An old occluded front continues to affect the far north of Scotland bringing some patchy rain here. Broken cloud and some showers for England and Wales, although thicker cloud and some rain in the southwest, as well as the risk of some rain in eastern England. Tops at 9C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.
Thursday Low pressure to the southwest of Ireland on Thursday. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain affecting southern Ireland and perhaps southwest England. Scattered showers for much of the rest of England and Wales. Perhaps drier in Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northwest England with some bright or sunny spells here. Tops at 8 to 12C in Scotland, but up to 16C in southern England.
