Tuesday A cooler day ahead for many today. A band of showery rain extending from Ireland through northwest England in the morning, this fading for a time, but perhaps returning again later. A further area of showery, thundery rain will be affecting southern and southeastern England. During the day the rain edges north and west, extending through the Midlands and southern England as well as moving into Wales. The rain could become heavy in the afternoon as drier weather arrives on southern coasts east of the isle of Wight. For most of Scotland, northern and western parts of Ireland the day is likely to be a dry one. There will be sunny spells, the best of them in northern and western Scotland. A stiff east breezes affecting much of the UK and Ireland, leading to eastern coasts feeling cool. It is going to be a much cooler day for all of England and Wales with tops at 15 to 21C, just 14C on eastern coasts.
Tuesday Night A band of rain, some of it thundery extending through southern and central Ireland. This also affects the Isle of many and northern England during tonight. Drier over more southern areas of England and Wales, although rather misty and murky here. Drier with clearer spells for Scotland, with the best of the clear spells in the west. A breezy night in northern England, Ireland and Scotland, although the winds easing to the south. Lows near 7 to 12C.
Wednesday Low pressure is to the south of the UK on Wednesday with high pressure to the north. A fresh easterly flow affecting many parts, most notable in the east. Cloud and some thundery, showery outbreaks of rain over the southern half of the UK and Ireland, these continuing through the day. Northern England and Scotland should be dry with more broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. The best of the sunshine in northern and western Wales. Feeling cool on eastern coasts. Temperatures at 16 to 21C for most, nearer 13C on eastern coasts.
Thursday High pressure stays north of the country with lower cloud to the south. A more east to northeast flow brings a fair amount of cloud in the southern half of the country with showery outbreaks of rain. Drier in Scotland and Northern ireland. Some colder weather on eastern coasts in the wind. Highs at 14 to 22C.
