UK Forecast: Outbreaks of rain - Cloudy for most, Jun 13 - 14:22

Tuesday Low pressure is set to bring another showery day for many today. Eastern Scotland has some of the most persistent rain. This continues through this afternoon bringing some signifiant rainfall totals here and the risk of some surface flooding. An area of heavy showers develops across northern and central England as well as Wales and Ireland. Predicting exactly where these will be is very difficult, although it could be that parts of the far north of England and southern Scotland are likely to have the lowest risk. Western Scotland and Northern Ireland may be dry throughout with some good spells of sunshine. Top temperatures at 12 to 19C.

Tuesday Night Rain affects eastern and northern Scotland overnight. A further areas of showers and rain may be through northwest England, northern and western Wales, heading towards southwest England. Further showers or outbreaks of rain to come in southern Ireland too. Drier in the east and south, although some showers are likely to here as well. Temperatures falling to around 6 to 10C.

Wednesday Low pressure is going to be centred over England and Wales on Wednesday. This brings another mixed day with sunshine, showers and some longer spells of rain. The morning sees cloud and some showery bursts of rain in Wales and southern England. Further clutches of showers and rain perhaps through western and northern parts of Ireland, with a further area of rain in central and southern Scotland. The afternoon sees the rain becoming patchy on southern Scotland, drier in central and northern areas. heavier showers or longer spells of rain in Ireland, England and much of Wales. Turning notably colder in northern Scotland with tops of 11C, but nearer 19C in the south of England.

Thursday Low pressure is expected to be to the east of the country on Thursday. Showers affecting much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland as well as Ireland. These could be heavy at times. A few bright spells between the showers, especially in areas sheltered from the northerly wind. Drier weather tending to spread into central and northern Scotland. Highs at 11 to 19C and feeling cold in the wind.
