UK Forecast: Scattered downpours - Mostly dry & warm, Jun 06 - 16:37

Tuesday Another fine day to come for most of the United Kingdom and Ireland. There will be some good spells of sunshine and it will be feeling very warm too. Little change is expected for most of us this afternoon. However, scattered, heavy showers are going to be developing, these probably more widespread than on Monday. The focus for the showers is across the hills of southwest England, Wales, northern England and Scotland as well as the hills of Ireland. If you do get caught by a thunderstorm, it could be torrential. Sea breezes making for cooler coasts. Tops at 21 to 27C.

Tuesday Night Any thundery showers fading away this evening. The night is then going to be dry for all with some clearer skies developing. Low cloud may drift onto eastern coasts, and areas where showers have fallen in the evening may become misty by the morning. Lows at 8 to 12C.

Wednesday Mist and murk for some on Wednesday morning as the northeast wind feeds in patchy low cloud onto eastern coasts. High pressure will be centred to the north of Ireland. There will be plenty of dry weather and warm sunshine developing once again. Thundery showers are likely to be triggered in the afternoon, most of these over Wales, northwest England and western parts of Scotland as well as Ireland. Sea breezes on western and southern coasts with tops near 21 to 25C but just 15C on eastern coasts.

Thursday High pressure stays to the northeast of Scotland on Thursday. This may again bring some low cloud onto eastern coasts of England, although the cloud soon breaking. Elsewhere expect sunny spells and fair conditions and feeling warm again too. A few showers could form across southwest England, Wales, northwest England and western Scotland later in the day, although these probably not as widespread or as intense as on Wednesday. Highs at 21 to 27C, but cooler on the coasts in sea breezes.
