Thursday A fair start to the morning with good spells of sunshine for many. There could be some low cloud on eastern and western coasts. Into the afternoon it stays bright with more sunny periods. Low cloud laps onto eastern and western coasts at times. Isolated showers forming this afternoon across the northern mountains of Wales, the Lake District, Southern Uplands and central Scotland, but dry for the vast majority. Highs at 13C in the cloud on eastern coasts, more generally 19 to 24C.
Thursday Night Showers fade during this evening with all areas then being dry through the night. There will be quite a bit of cloud, most of it in the east. Some mist patches developing by the morning, especially in more western areas. Lows at 6 to 10C.
Friday Weak fronts and troughs passing eastwards through the UK and Ireland on Friday. A slack pressure flow allows messy bands of rain and showers to pass east through most areas, with most of these in more northern and western parts. Saturday Small areas of low pressure over the UK on Saturday. This brings a cloudy, murky morning with showers outbreaks of rain, most in Scotland, central and eastern England. Drier and brighter in the west where a ridge of high pressure builds across Ireland. Saturday afternoon sees scattered showers again in more eastern areas, but dry with good spells of sunshine in the west. Thicker cloud and some rain arrives in western Scotland later. Highs near a cooler 16 to 21C.
