Week ahead: Unsettled - Very showery, Jun 12 - 10:35

Risk of thunderstorms An area of low pressure will remain in charge of the weather for much of this upcoming week keeping it very unsettled with showery conditions to the country. Some of these will be on the heavy side with a risk of thunder. High pressure may turn it fine across England late in the week. For the weather for the next few days click here Wednesday 15/06/16 Unsettled across the country today with a good deal of cloud. Plenty of showers will develop through the day, some heavy with a risk of thunder. The far south east may escape the showers. The showers gradually fade through the course of the evening. Expect high temperatures of 14 to 19C.

Thursday 16/06/16 We expect little overall change across much of the country today with a number of showers developing in many areas. Again some of showers locally heavy and thundery but perhaps fewer across the south east. Highs of 12 to 19C.

Friday 17/06/16 Expect a dry, bright start with sunnier spells. More cloud and scattered showers develop in many areas later in the morning and into the afternoon. A dry, clear night to follow. Highs of 13 to 16C.

Saturday 18/06/16 Outbreaks of rain may spread in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland during the day. For England and Wales expect lots of dry weather with sunny spells and just the odd shower. Wet across much of Britain tonight. Top temperatures of 16 to 18C.

Sunday 19/06/16 Overall it appears rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain across much of the country. This turns more patchy and light for the afternoon across England and Wales. Expect highs of 17 to 21C. Monday 20/06/16 High pressure gives much of England and Wales a dry, warm day with sunny spells. A front may keep it damp with spells of rain for Northern Ireland and Scotland. highs of 18 to 24C.
