A frosty start in the south, cloudier to the north Good morning, Another very cold morning in the south of England and Wales with a widespread and severe frost. Good spells of sunshine this morning too, although there may be increasing cloud for a time, before becoming mostly sunny once again. Further north more cloud affects much of northern England, Scotland and Ireland, this thick enough to produce some patchy rain in Scotland.
Across the south of England, Wales and Ireland this afternoon should be fair and sunny. Still feeling cold. More cloud in northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and again there is the threat of some spots of rain over the hills and mountains of Scotland and perhaps northwest England too.
