The area of high pressure that built in across the country at the weekend is going to be the main feature of the weather this week keeping most places dry. As drier air moves up into Britain from the continent, most of the cloud will be clearing and most areas will be fine and dry with some decent spells of sunshine. The exceptions being Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Expect maximums temperatures 3 to 7 Celsius north to south.
Quite a breezy evening and night across Scotland and Northern Ireland with some rain into the far west of Scotland. With lighter winds and clear skies tonight, temperatures will be dropping across England and Wales allowing a widespread frost to develop. Expect minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 Celsius.
If you are heading abroad western and central parts of Europe will be settled and dry with snow in the east. The Mediterranean will be quite showery.
