Week ahead: Fog & frost - Dry overall, Nov 28 - 08:58

Cold for many with widespread mist, fog and frost A chilly week of weather ahead as high pressure settled over the country. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry conditions, but there will be widespread mist, fog and forst forming too. The frost more prevalent over the next few days, but then fog may become a problem into the weekend. Staying dry and cool into the start of next week too.

For the weather for the next few days click here Thursday 1/12/16 High pressure stays dominant over the country on Thursday. This is going to be bringing mist and fog patches again to southern parts of England and Wales. More cloud across more northern areas as the flow turns into the northwest here. There will be some showers around northern Scotland and perhaps a few over northwest England, north Wales and along eastern coasts of England too. Breezy in the north and east. Again it will be milder in the north than south with highs at 9C, but 6C in southern England.

Friday 2/12/16 High pressure is centred over the UK and Ireland again through Friday. There wil be variable amounts of cloud with a tendency for most of the cloud to be in the north and east. Mist and fog patches are likely through the morning, especially in England and Wales. Highs of 5 to 7C.

Saturday 3/12/16 High pressure is expected to be centred over the UK and Ireland again on Saturday. This brings another chilly day with light winds. Mist and fog patches may be widespread in the morning, these slowly lifting. Cloud is then broken. Highs at 3 to 6C.

Sunday 4/12/16 Little change on Sunday with high pressure remaining over the UK and Ireland. This cloud lead to lots of mist and fog, some of it dense and reluctant to clear through the day. Once it has gone some breaks may occur in the cloud. It is going to be dry. Highs at 2 to 5C and feeling cold.

Monday 5/12/16 The area of high pressure stays over the Uk on Monday. This may again lead to mist and fog being widespread and another cold day. However, increasing winds to the west could lift the fog over Ireland and the west of Wales, England and Scotland with some brighter spells poking through the cloud here. Tops at 4 to 6C. Tuesday 6/12/16 Much uncertainty over Tuesdays weather. There are hints of stronger winds in the west bringing cloud and some rain into Ireland. For the UK it may be foggy in the east at first, but this lifting more readily to leave dry weather wind sunny spells. Highs at 3 to 7C.
