Thunderstorms are not expected during the day3 period across the
contiguous United States.

...Gulf Coast...

A narrow corridor of modified Gulf air will advance inland, ahead of
a cold front, along the central Gulf coast region late day2 into
day3.  While boundary-layer moistening will contribute to weak
shallow buoyancy, poor lapse rates and capping should limit the
threat of convection, much less the possibility for updrafts to
reach levels necessary for lightning.
