Windy west, turning more mixed for all and milder for a time too Temperatures are expected to be rising during the coming days, although the rise may be rather hit and miss for some. Outbreaks of patchy rain spreading east through the weekend and then we face an uncertain picture into the beginning of next week. Current thoughts are that it will steadily become more unsettled as southwest winds develop and it should become milder too.
For the weather for the next few days click here Saturday 28/1/17 Low pressure remains close to western Scotland on Saturday. Further cloud and outbreaks of rain edging eastwards during the day. Most of the rain affecting western parts of Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. Drier in much of Scotland although some cloud and rain in the far east of Scotland. Highs at 5 to 8C.
Sunday 29/1/17 A slack pressure flow over the UK and Ireland on Sunday. This is likely to be bringing a drier day with a morning frost. There will be sunny spells once morning fog patches have cleared. Highs at 6 to 8C.
Monday 30/1/17 Cloud and rain in Ireland, Wales and southwest England on Monday. Low pressure to the west pushes fronts eastwards with the winds increasing here too. More eastern areas of England and Scotland are going to be staying dry with sunny spells. Highs at 6 to 11C.
Tuesday 31/1/17 Fronts become weaker as they pass east on Tuesday. They will take some outbreaks of rain with them. More western and southern areas are likely to have cloud and some drizzle at times, although central parts becoming drier. Milder overall at 6 to 9C.
Wednesday 1/2/17 More cloud and outbreaks of rain on Wednesday again with low pressure over the UK. There will be periods of rain and cloud and it is likely to be milder too. Highs at 7 to 10C. Thursday 2/2/17 The milder flow is maintained on Thursday with low pressure west of Ireland. There may be some outbreaks of rain in more western areas but the east is likely to be drier. Highs at 7 to 10C.
