URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 35 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 615 PM CST Sun Feb 19 2017 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of South central Texas * Effective this Sunday night from 615 PM until Midnight CST. * Primary threats include... Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to expand in coverage in a band from south central into central Texas through the early overnight hours. A few large hail and damaging wind events may occur prior to the storms weakening to the west of the San Antonio metropolitan area. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 85 miles northeast of Del Rio TX to 85 miles south southeast of Del Rio TX.
