After an active day of severe weather today to mark the first day of meteorological spring, some calmer and cooler weather is in store for Central Alabama.
Our cold front is well into South Alabama tonight, lying somewhere south of a line from Auburn to Luverne.
Our line of showers and storms extends from Abbeville to Andalusia to Florala.
There is one severe thunderstorm warning in southern North Carolina, otherwise things have calmed. No severe weather watches nationally.
Skies have cleared over areas north of I-59 tonight.
Temperatures are in the lower 50s over the Tennessee Valley, upper 50s in the I-20 Corridor to near 70F in the Southeast corner of the state.
Lows by morning will be in the middle 30s over North Alabama, upper 30s in the I-20 Corridor and in the middle 40s from Demopolis to Montgomery.
Highs tomorrow will be in the middle 50s up around Huntsville, near 60F around Tuscaloosa/Birmingham and in the middle 60s in Montgomery/Auburn.
