Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Coosa County Until 5:45PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
    Central Coosa County in east central Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CST

* At 449 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Gap Of The
    Mountain, or near Clanton, moving east at 45 mph.
    HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated.
    IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
    Goodwater, Rockford, Kellyton, Weogufka, Hanover, Lyle, Dollar, Bradford, Cottage Grove, Bentleyville, Highway 9 and Highway 22, Unity, Moriah, Hatchet, Crewsville, Lay Lake Dam, Mitchell Lake, Lay Lake, Fishpond and Ray.
