Increasingly unsettled with showers and rain, turning cooler next week The weather turns significantly more unsettled during the coming week. Spells of rain this weekend, most in the west. However through next week the unsettled weather becomes more widespread as low pressure dominates conditions with heavy showers or loger spells of rain. Turning cooler, especially later in the week and windy too.
For the weather for the next few days click here Monday 20/3/17 An area of low pressure swings through Scotland on Monday. This takes an area of showers or longer periods of rain with it. Following from the west will be cooler conditions with a mix of sunshine and blustery showers. The showers could be heavy at times across northern and western Scotland and well as across northern and western Ireland. Highs at 8 to 12C.
Tuesday 21/3/17 A front passes east on Tuesday bringing showery rain into western areas, this possibly turning more persistent. Southern England could see some rain too, although more eastern areas tending to stay dry. Highs at 7 to 12C.
Wednesday 22/3/17 Low pressure is likely to be sat over the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This brings heavy showers and sunny spells. However, some places could stay dry throughout the day. Highs at 7 to 11C.
Thursday 23/3/17 Low pressure continues to dominate conditions on Thursday. There will be further cloud, showers and longer periods of rain for many. It could be breezy too. Highs at 6 to 10C.
Friday 24/3/17 Low pressure to the east of the UK on Friday bringing a strong north to northeast flow and frequent showers or longer spells of rain here. Drier to the west with higher pressure building here. Highs at 9C on eastern coasts, 12C in the west. Saturday 25/3/17 Higher pressure dominating on Saturday. This brings dry and bright weather to most with god spells of sunshine. The risk of some showers and stronger winds in the far south of England. Highs at 9 to 14C.
