Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Franklin And Lawrence Counties Until 5:00PM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
    Southeastern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…
    Southern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 500 PM CDT

* At 429 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles north of
    Ashridge, or 11 miles northeast of Haleyville, moving east at 35 mph.
    HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated.
    IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
    Moulton, Mt Hope, Speake, Wren, Landersville, Newburg and Bankhead
    National Forest.
