Cold with sunshine and snow showers, spreading east Good morning, You will certainly need to be wrapping up extra warm as you head outside this morning. There is a widespread and severe frost, especially over northern England and Scotland. Where showers fell late yesterday afternoon and evening there is ice so extra care is needed when you are out and about.
A scattering of wintry showers could affect coasts of Wales and eastern England for a time, but overall it will be cold but sunny. A tendency for cloud to increase in Ireland with soe patchy rain arriving here in the afternoon.
Another frost to come tonight, although with more cloud in Ireland and the west of Scotland, Wales and southwest England temperatures should hold above freezing here.
