Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Etowah County Until 7:00PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
    Central Etowah County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 700 PM CDT

* At 635 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Attalla, or 7 miles northwest of Rainbow City, moving northeast at 55 mph.
    HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated.
    IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

    Gadsden, Rainbow City, Hokes Bluff, Attalla, Glencoe, Steele, Reece
    City, Tabor Road, Gadsden Mall, Noccalula Falls, Ridgeville, Gadsden Steam Plant, Big Wills Creek, Howelton, Crudup, Gallant, Gadsden Municipal Airport, Keener, Rockledge and Black Creek.
