Strong Storms Affecting Randolph and Clay Counties

At 5:19 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ashland to near Goldville. Movement was east at 35 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Western Randolph and Southeastern Clay counties until 6:00PM.

Locations impacted include…
Lineville, Ashland, Wedowee, Lake Wedowee, Wadley, Malone, Barfield, Dickert, Cragford, R.l. Harris Dam, Ofelia, Tennant, Motley and Mellow Valley.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
