Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Pickens And Sumter Counties Until 12:15PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
    Southern Pickens County in west central Alabama…
    Northwestern Sumter County in west central Alabama…

* Until 1215 PM CDT

* At 1127 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Cooksville, or 15 miles southwest of
    Aliceville, moving northeast at 45 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

    Aliceville, Carrollton, Pickensville, McMullen, Garden, Panola, Benevola, Johnston Lake, Bevill Lock And Dam, Gainesville Lake Boat
    Ramp And Campground, Dillburg, George Downer Airport, Pioneer, Cochrane and Pine Grove.
