Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Fayette County Until 1:30PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
    Eastern Fayette County in west central Alabama…

* Until 130 PM CDT

* At 1239 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ashcraft Corner, or 11 miles south of
    Fayette, moving northeast at 35 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
    Berry, Boley Springs, Bankston, Stone Wall, Fayette County Public
    Lake and Fowlers Crossroads.
