Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Fayette, Lamar, And Marion Counties Until 1:00PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
    Southeastern Marion County in northwestern Alabama…
    Northwestern Fayette County in west central Alabama…
    East central Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 100 PM CDT

* At 1219 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Blooming Grove, or 7 miles southeast of
    Sulligent, moving northeast at 40 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

    Hamilton, Winfield, Guin, Brilliant, Beaverton, Gu-
    Win, Brinn, Lake Buttahatchee, Twin, Tucker, Wayside, Pearces Mill, Piney Grove and Pikeville.
