Elevated Heat Index values expected Saturday Afternoon Due to warm and moist air over the state, heat index values will rise to near 100 degrees across most of Arkansas. The highest heat index values will occur during the mid to late afternoon hours. Try to limit strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day and stay hyrdated by drinking plenty of water.
