Flash Flood Warning Issued For Parts Of Blount And St. Clair Counties Until 8:45PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
    Southeastern Blount County in central Alabama…
    Northwestern St. Clair County in central Alabama…

* Until 845 PM CDT

* At 716 PM CDT, the public reported flash flooding across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Oneonta, Springville, Margaret, Argo, Ashville, Allgood, Highland
    Lake, Whitney Junction, St. Clair Springs, Holly Springs, Caldwell, Horse Pens Forty and I 59 Rest Areas At Oneonta.
    Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area.
