Wet over western hills and coasts, breezy for all and drier north and south Good morning, It's a breezy start to the day for many of us, and it will stay that way into this afternoon as well. A few bright spells in central and eastern areas this morning, although a few spots of drizzle affects southern coasts and hills. An area of more persistent rain extends from southern Ireland, through western Wales and into northwest England. This rain is likely to be heavy over western slopes. Showers follow to western Scotland with some bright spells in eastern Scotland and Northern ireland.
This afternoon sees rain drifting into southwest England, Wales, the Midlands and parts of northern England. Drier across the eastern Midlands and East Anglia although still with some spots of rain in the far southeast. Scattered showers passing through Scotland and Ireland these perhaps affecting northwest England by this evening.
A breezy but mostly dry night as rain clears the southeast and showers affect western Scotland.
