Mild in south, cooler north Good morning, Slack high pressure influences central & southern Britain today maintaining rather benign and cloudy conditions. A little sunshine breaking through. Fog patches will gradually clear. A west to south-westerly breeze affects northern areas, and a cold front encroaches into the far north-west of Scotland and Ireland, producing patchy rain here into the afternoon.
A complex slack area of low pressure around Biscay will push fronts toward the south-west of Britain, with rain developing widely for England & Wales overnight into Saturday. Today's top temperatures will be 12 to 14C in southern England, but nearer 8 to 10C in northern Britain & Ireland. Have a great day. Garry
