Low pressure continues to dominate to bring further wet weather, wintry precipitation risk in the north too Good morning, It's an unsettled start to Friday with rain developing across more southern areas of England and Wales through the morning, while some showers or longer spells of rain persist across parts of east and south-east Scotland, wintry on hills here. A breezy morning, especially in the north and feeling quite cold in the wind as well.
Into Friday evening and overnight the unsettled weather will continue across England and Wales despite some drier and clearer intervals at times. Further rain or showers are likely across parts of Wales, Midlands, S England and perhaps especially N England where longer spells of rain may persist with some sleet or wet snow on the Pennines. Mainly dry, apart from a few showers, across Scotland and N Ireland. A breezy night for all and feeling quite cold.
