Low pressure continues to dominate to bring further wet weather, wintry precipitation risk in the north too Good morning, It's an unsettled start to Thursday with outbreaks of rain and showers across south-western areas of England and Wales, with locally heavy rain here. Some drier weather is present across parts of N Ireland and across into N Wales, Midlands and N England to start the day, but with rain or showers further north across Scotland, especially E Scotland where sleet and snow is present on higher ground.
Into Thursday night and unsettled weather continue across much of England and Wales with rain or showers at times, some heavy too and perhaps wintry over the Peak District and the Pennines. Drier across Scotland, perhaps especially S Scotland with frost and icy patches, while some showers, perhaps wintry, continue across N and E Scotland.
