Mainly dry for many areas with bright or sunny spells and Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week for most. Good morning, Into Tuesday morning and it is mainly dry across many areas with bright or sunny spells, especially across England and Wales. It will, however, turn cloudier across Scotland and Ireland with some patchy rain or showers developing here by late morning.

Through the afternoon and some patchy rain and showers will move southwards into the far north of N England, but becoming increasingly insignificant as it does so. Remaining mainly dry ahead of this region of cloudier weather with some sunny spells, especially in S England, while Scotland and Ireland will also become brighter but feeling particularly cool and fresh here.

A region of cloud with little in the way of any precipitation left associated with it will move down into some areas of England and Wales overnight, while clearer conditions means a chilly night in the north and west with a ground frost possible.
